X-Files Sequel

Gillian Anderson, who currently lives in London, recently talked with Newsday about her career and another X-FILES film.

In regards to sequel, Anderson said, "Eventually there will be, we hope there is going to be."

The first one went out of it's way to cater to the people who had never seen the film, as well as to play to the most boring subplot, namely, Mulder's who conspiracy thing with the smoking man. What is needed is a smart, well-written single episode with paranormal phenomenon. Enough people miss how the TV series used to be to make it worthwhile. But then again, I'm saying exactly nothing new here, most people feel this way.

Anderson says elsewhere in the interview that they need to do it quickly because in a little while no one will give a shit. What she really means is that her hotness will diminish. That was one of the reasons the show was as big as it was.
